Groups For Kids and Teens

Brooklyn Learning Center is offering online groups for children and teens during the coronavirus pandemic.

We have years of experience providing different kinds of groups. We think that in this time of social distancing, group experiences provide important support for student’s school and social lives.

Groups will meet one or two times per week via zoom.

There are 3 different group options:

  • If your child is having difficulty adjusting to this “new routine” or “pandemic-related stress” we are offering groups that will teach evidence-based strategies for coping with anxiety.

  • If your child seems socially isolated or lonely during this time, we are offering groups that will provide fun activities and a new peer group.

  • If your child is having difficulty navigating distance and/or independent learning, we are offering groups that help students identify their learning strengths and challenges and develop needed executive functioning skills.

Fees are low and on a sliding scale.

If you want to learn more about the groups or are interested in signing your child up for a group, please reach out to our practice manager, Tanya Lewellyn, at 718-935-0400 or Tanya@brooklynlearningcenter.com
